history of board game
history of board game: "The oldest board game of all is believed to be The Royal Game of Ur which was played in Babylon for over 5,000 years. The earliest commercial board games began appearing in England around the 1590's, these games where primarily aimed at adults. The players would usually have to race around a spiraling board avoiding penalties along the way, often a gambling element was involved. The boards would usually be hand painted in black and white on linen mounted paper. A large amount of today's popular board games can be traced back to the Orient such as Chess, Draughts and Ludo. "
